In Provence, the great gathering of antique dealers.

At Easter, the great gathering of antique dealers of l’Isle sur la Sorgue will welcome more than 200 exhibitors. A really wide profusion of pieces of period furniture is exposed to the visitors, ranging from the most beautiful pieces of antique furniture to the most kitsch thingummies. For the tradesmen and the antique dealers from the whole world, l’Isle sur la Sorgue unfolds its treasures in the Parc Gauthier, the avenue des Quatres Otages and the square in front of the post office, the esplanade Robert Vasse, the Orée de L’Isle and the Cigalette.

For now more than 40 years, the flea market and the antique fair have moulded here a very particular atmosphere, which everyone enjoys expectantly when the sunny days are back. L’ISlS (=L’Isle sur la Sorgue) is the third European platform for antique trade, behind Saint-Ouen and London. The 84th edition for the international fair invites the visitors to discover at the same time the decoration and antique shops and the antique tradesmen’s village in the town. Whether fairground and sedentary, there are over 500 professionals that give life to the streets of the town with their displays full of history.

For this new edition, the town has entrusted the company Mercantour with the organization of the fair, which is specialized in the organization of exhibitions and events. This delegation from the public utilities is part of a larger scheme initiated in 2003 by the mayor Michel Fuillet and his team.
