From the 2th to the 5th April 2010, the great gathering of antique dealers.
At Easter, the great gathering of antique dealers of l’Isle sur la Sorgue will welcome more than 200 exhibitors. A really wide profusion of pieces of period furniture is exposed to the visitors, ranging from the most beautiful pieces of antique furniture to the most kitsch thingummies. For the tradesmen and the antique dealers from the whole world, l’Isle sur la Sorgue unfolds its treasures in the Parc Gauthier, the avenue des Quatres Otages and the square in front of the post office, the esplanade Robert Vasse, the Orée de L’Isle and the Cigalette. This year, art galleries will be present.
An acknowledged capital of flea marketing and antiques. L’ISlS is the third European platform in the trade of antiques, behind Paris (Saint Ouen) and London. For now more than 40 years, the flea market and the antique fair have moulded here a very particular atmosphere, which everyone enjoys expectantly when the sunny days are back. The 88th edition for the international fair invites the visitors to discover at the same time the decoration and antique shops and the antique tradesmen’s village in the town. Whether fairground or sedentary, there are over 500 professionals that give life to the streets of the town with their displays full of history.
This is also a chance to appreciate a certain art de vivre in Provence, to take the time to wander calmly along the banks of the river Sorgue, paced on the paddle wheel still working today.
The mercantour group, fair delegated organizer, continue the quality process instored many years ago.
In the same way, respecting the Charter of Quality is being monitored by certified experts. At the same time, these experts are available to help the professionals and the visitors can graciously ask for some advice.
